Glenn Miller is an IT Specialist with nearly 36 years of experience in all aspects of IT systems, design, implementation, backup and Disaster Recovery. Glenn is considered a deep technical expert in the IBM Power Systems portfolio and both PowerVM and PowerKVM virtualization capabilities and functions, and his skills extend to the IBM Storage portfolio as well as networking and SAN Fabrics. His deep operating systems experience includes AIX, RedHat, SUSE and Ubuntu Linux as well as Microsoft Windows environments. He is particularly adept at implementing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud solutions and can articulate the value of Power Systems for cloud, big data and analytics projects, helping customers to make more informed cloud deployment decisions. He is also adept with Intel based virtualization technologies such as VMware and Nutanix. He brings to Volta excellent problem analysis and troubleshooting skills and a consistent record of customer satisfaction.
During his tenure at Volta, Glenn has developed three software products, VoltaCloudCopy, VoltaMirror and VoltaAuthenticate. VoltaCloudCopy is a product that allows AIX customers backup and recover their systems and data directly to and from the cloud. VoltaMirror uses IBM’s GLVM technology to provide a cost-effective data replication and disaster recovery solution for AIX systems. VoltaAuthenticate is a product that provides a Dual Factor Authentication mechanism for AIX.
