Being a small business and helping other small businesses has been Dave’s career passion since forming DMD Data Systems (now Volta) in ’96. He’s involved in a myriad of different business groups around Lexington, which affirms his professional beliefs. As the chair of Commerce Lexington’s Business Owners Advisory Boards, he leads a group of around 10 established small businesses in the Lexington area. Dave also holds the Vice Chair of Communications for Commerce Lexington Executive Board and is the founder of Lexington Executive Exchange, a monthly small business support program. In 2011, he was honored as the SBA Business Person of the Year for Kentucky and frequently speaks to audiences about small business concerns and development.
