Bob has been working in the IT industry for over 25 years. The majority of that time has involved the design, implementation and configuration of various computing solutions. Having had the opportunity to work with a great variety of hardware and software in the past, he has a broad general skill set, but has specialized in primarily two technologies; virtualization and storage.
Bob has installed and maintained VMware products since ESX version 1.5 was release in 2002. He obtained his VMware Certified Professional certification when VMware ESX was in version 2.0 and has maintained my VCP certification through version 6. He has also obtained the VMware Advanced Certified Professional Data Center Administration certification. Bob has completed multiple upgrades to VMware environments throughout the VMware life cycle including the current upgrade to VMware vSphere 6.7. In addition to the core vSphere components Bob has also deployed and configured VMware Horizon, VMware Operations Manager, VMware Log Insight, VMware Orchestrator and a variety of virtual server backup solutions.
In 2016, he was awarded the Valedictorian Award, the highest honor available at Volta, given to the employee who best embodies the company values of Stewardship, Fairness and Urgency among other considerations.
